A training for attorneys associated with the VOICES Docket of Family Court of Jefferson County. Topics will include emerging trends in child trafficking, legal issues pertaining to child trafficking, best practices including harm reduction and the importance of trauma-informed victim-centered response and services, working with the foreign-born community. Interactive format to include simulation role play in courtroom setting. Discussion around barriers, gaps, and challenges associated with VOICES Docket cases as well as community resources and services available to support minor victims.
