Training Objectives

To assist law enforcement and criminal justice staff in adopting effective uniform response protocols to recognize, rethink and respond to child trafficking.

6.5 APOST Credit Hours Available.

Materials to be covered includes:

–The crime of child trafficking, including on-line, sex and labor trafficking

–Partners who can help law enforcement

–Recognizing, rethinking, and responding best practices in common encounter scenarios

–Trauma- informed, victim-centered response, including those who are culturally diverse.

Hosted in partnership with the Fort Payne Police Department. Open to first responders, EMA, police, fire and front-line child serving personnel from any jurisdiction within Alabama.
