Workshop Synopsis
Child Trafficking Solutions Project (CTSP) presents a trauma-informed training for law enforcement officers and criminal justice staff and officials.
Training Objectives:
- To assist law enforcement and criminal justice staff in adopting effective uniform response protocols to recognize, rethink and respond to child trafficking.
- Earn 6.5 APOST or Social Work Credit Hours.
Topics to be covered include:
- The crime of child trafficking, including on-line, sex and labor trafficking
- Partners who can help law enforcement
- Recognizing, rethinking, and responding best practices in common encounter scenarios
- Trauma- informed, victim-centered response, including those who are culturally diverse.
Hosted in partnership with Irondale Fire Department. Open to first responders, EMA, police and fire personnel from any jurisdiction within Alabama.
