Child Trafficking Training | 6.5 CEUs | Community Room, Grace Baptist Church 41771 AL Hwy 75, Altoona, AL | Feb. 26, 2026 8:30am – 4:00pm
Children’s Aid Society of Alabama’s, Child Trafficking Solutions Project in partnership with Snead Police Department Open to all Blount County and Surrounding Jurisdictions, is hosting a FREE Child Trafficking Training for Law Enforcement, SRO’s, Fire, EMS First Responders, plus Child Serving Professionals.
This in-person professional development training provides 6.5 hours of APOSTC, Social Work, and General Continuing Education credits, with Certificates of Completion issued to attendees.
This comprehensive, multidisciplinary training equips professionals across Alabama to: Recognize the indicators of child trafficking, Rethink situations involving potential exploitation
and Respond appropriately using trauma-informed, victim-centered practices.
Participants will gain practical knowledge related to:

Child sex trafficking and labor trafficking, including online exploitation

Federal and Alabama state trafficking laws and prosecution elements

Evidence collection considerations

Best practices for interviewing and screening children

Documentation and case coordination

Multidisciplinary response models across jurisdictions

Trauma-informed and culturally responsive engagement with victims
Training material is presented in a multi-faceted format by an experienced, multidisciplinary team with expertise in child welfare, law enforcement, prosecution, and victim advocacy.
