Recognizing and Responding to Child Trafficking and Online Threats: A Training for the Poarch Creek Indians Community

May 12 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
Child Trafficking Solutions Project, CTSP

Child trafficking and dangers associated with social media is a growing threat, with predators targeting children and youth every day—online, in schools, and within communities. The Child Trafficking Solutions Project, in partnership with the Poarch Creek Indians Boys and Girls Club, presents this essential training to equip teachers, parents, caregivers, and community members with the knowledge and tools needed to protect children.

Participants will learn to identify common grooming techniques, recognize key warning signs and red flags, and understand how exploitation can occur through social media and online platforms. The training also provides practical strategies for promoting internet safety, increasing awareness, and responding effectively when exploitation is suspected.

Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of their role on the frontlines of prevention, along with actionable tools and resources to help safeguard children and youth—and guidance on where to turn for help when concerns arise.

Workshop 9:30 – 11:30 am followed by a complimentary lunch provided to attendees 11:30 am – 12:00 pm.

Offered in partnership with Poarch Creek Indians Boys and Girls Clubs.
