Summary: This position is responsible for planning and implementation of ILSS (Independent Living Support Services) youth camps, leadership conferences, Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) Independent Living Program (ILP) staff Networking Conference, DREAM Council Meetings, Celebration of Scholars, participation at a national conference for IL Youth, and other events, programs and communications related to the CAS ILSS contract with DHR.
Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
Minimum Work Experience: Three years in human services work, Independent Living experience preferred. Experience in special events planning and public relations preferred.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Licensure applicable to degree. Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Good organization, event coordination, communication and problem-solving skills. Computer proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel. Ability to respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis. Ability and willingness to work occasional weekends and non-traditional hours. Ability to work as a team leader and team player, encouraging a positive atmosphere for a teamwork approach in event planning and implementation. Demonstrates cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Competent in trauma responsive care.

Summary: This position plans and coordinates statewide Trained Therapist Network Workshops, the Annual Permanency Conference, APAC live interactive webinars, participates in Camp APAC and other statewide services, and supports the Regional Team Leaders in providing regional APAC services.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or mental health/social services related field.
Minimum Work Experience: Event planning and coordination, training, database management.
Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Alabama driver’s license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent communication and organizational skills; technology, negotiation and budgeting experience, event planning and management skills, and creative abilities with orientation to detail and skills in problem-solving. Computer proficiency to conduct in-person and online training events and to manage the agency’s Learning Management System. Ability to respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis. Ability to work with a team under the direction of the Program Director, while demonstrating the ability to think critically and plan and execute independent work. Ability to demonstrate cultural and socioeconomic proficiency. Understanding of trauma responsive care.

Summary: This position is responsible for providing intensive crisis intervention and stabilization services, based on the modified Homebuilders model and Trauma Informed Care, to assist families in maintaining and strengthening their family life, including comprehensive life skills training and coaching.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human and Child Development, Counseling or Sociology, or related field from a college or university accredited by one of the six regional accrediting associations of the United States.
Minimum Work Experience: At minimum, one year of associated experiences with children, youth, and families.
Required Licenses/Certifications: LBSW if applicable. Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Computer proficiency. Ability to respond calmly and non-judgmentally to others, including persons in crisis. Understanding of trauma informed care. Ability to work with a team while evidencing ability to think critically; carry caseload as required by contract.
Required Internal Certification/Trainings: Annual De-Escalation Training/Mandatory Reporter Training and COA trainings. Bi Annual TB skin test/medical report. Background clearance.
List any physical requirements: Travel within service area and in state, some overnight. Ability to work flexible hours; Provide 24/7 on call response.
