Empowering young mothers to establish strong and stable homes.

Safe, stable living accommodations for homeless mothers

Project Independence empowers young mothers to establish strong and stable homes. It provides safe, stable living accommodations to pregnant and/or parenting homeless mothers and their children (ages 16-21) who are engaged in breaking cycles of trauma and poverty. Mothers gain career and life skills to curtail instances of possible child abuse and neglect.

“If it wasn’t for this program, I probably would have never gotten my GED because no one was encouraging or pushing me to do so before I got here.”

We are always looking for caring people to empower young mothers by helping them build life skills and self-confidence.
